Not having DST is the most backwards thing I've ever heard of. I can't imagine any arguments against it. What kind of person wouldn't actually prefer an extra hour of sun to enjoy in the summer ( our desert dwelling dark one aside ).
I could care less if it's dark on my way to work, but I sure as hell want it to be light when I come home and can go outside and enjoy it.
Then why not drop back to have that "extra" hour and LEAVE IT THERE YEAR 'ROUND?
What do you gain in the summer months then when you move it back ahead???? Some antiquated farmer-bullshit about being able to get on your plow earlier in the morning???

ummm... tony.... have you ever noticed that the times of the sunset and sunrise aren't exactly the same from day to day? Even in Indiana... yeah.... that's why people move back...
If you were to wake at sunrise everyday, you'd basically be doing the same thing as DST... just in much smaller daily increments...
Give up, Jor. If people can't get it that you can be out in your yard having fun longer, it's not going to get through. I can't wait for DST to start every year. Then again I love just sitting out back and staring at the woods.

I'll be honest... I don't know (or care) what fucking time the sun rises. I'm half asleep and I don't care if it's dark or not when I'm on my way to work.
What I'm saying is, it will get darker, quicker in the winter no matter what.... so if you still have daylight at 7:00 pm in the winter, fine.
But why the "Spring ahead".... To keep there from being daylight at 10:00 pm in the summer?
They aren't GIVING you an extra hour of daylight in the winter.... the days are shorter anyways... They're ROBBING YOU of an extra hour of SUMMER daylight!!!! Those bastards.
